At the beginning of this project, many kinds of stories were mentioned: story happened in North Korea, satire story, and the story we are doing right now.
Goose father phenomenon, as my group members said, is a shameful phenomenon in South Korea; however, similar phenomenon like our story happens in Taiwan where I come from, too.
Parents send kids to a foreign country to learn a foreign language, sometimes without asking their will. Like professor Sellar said, the phenomenon is “problematic,” it is hard to define as good or bad. By writing in the father’s story line, I learned to give understandings to the father more in some situation that members in the mother’s story might be against to.
As a foreigner in this project, compare with other group members, I might seem to be more silent and more likely to be as a listener for most of the time. It is not because I do not put attention on the project, but because listening to other group members’ ideas and thoughts in passion is another interesting thing to do.
Thank professor Gord Sellar, and all of my group members! Love you guys. :D
