Homework Was…

A student emailed me to confirm homework, so I’m doing it here:

For Tuesday, April 14th: Use the Compare Documents function in your word processor to find all the changes I made in your article. Try to figure out why I made those changes, and make a checklist of things you need to watch out for when editing and proofreading later articles.

(If you cannot find the Compare Documents function in your word processor, and have used the Help function, you can always simply print the two versions of the file and compare them yourself. But using a word processor will be much more efficient.)

For Thursday, April 16th: Prepare a critique of the two articles we chose for discussion: the article on Self-Help Books and the article on Intercultural Marriage. (Both are included in the article package I posted earlier.)

Student Info Sheet (Old)

I couldn’t find the original file for the Student Info Sheet, so I’m going to upload the old one for those who need to download it. It says Fall 2008 at the top, so please cross that out when you print it and write Spring 2009 instead. Please also (a) make sure you glue your photo onto the page, and (b) make sure you write the name of the class at the top so that I know which class it belongs to.

If the PDF I’ve uploaded for our class doesn’t work for you then you’re probably using a new version of Adobe Acrobat. Try using a free program like Foxit Reader and you should be able to open all my PDFs.
